This symbol, called the Mobius Loop is commonly found on cardboard packaging and identifies that the packaging is recyclable.

If the centre of the loop contains a number, the item is made from that percentage of recycled materials.
This symbol is often found on cardboard and paper and denotes that cardboard recyclers will accept it.
Metal

Recyclable aluminium

Glass

Whilst most glass containers are recyclable, this symbol reminds consumers to recycle glass jars and bottles, either at bottle banks or, where available, through kerbside collection schemes.
